[361] Contemplative

361

Amazingly, there were very few days during this 365 project where I dreaded having to take a picture and write something about it. I’ve been seriously contemplating what I’m going to do when this project is done in 4 days. I don’t think I could go cold turkey and never do it again; I might just be addicted to this whole blog thing. Plus, I’ve accumulated a rather decent, or more than I could have ever hoped for, following of readers. I’ll probably take a couple week hiatus just to recharge and not feeling pressured to document my life every single day.

My people need some view into what’s going on with my life, right?

I would absolutely LOVE to hear what you guys would like to see from me in the future. A post a week? Bi-weekly? Monthly? Whenever something awesome or exciting happens? WordPress community…tell me your thoughts!

[360] An Everlasting Love

360

I honestly could never get enough Syracuse basketball. Currently I have a cutout of Boeheim’s head taped to a frame hanging on the wall. My boyfriend thinks it’s weird, and said I should take it down. Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Not gonna happen. EVER.

Go ‘Cuse!

[359] In the Zone

359

I’m finally getting to some work that needed to be done, like, weeks ago. I’ve been a little distracted.

Speaking of distractions, I met up with a friend who I used to work with in Syracuse. She’s in town visiting friends, and her boyfriend’s family. We got some drinks, drank them, and caught up. I really like getting to see people out of the context you know them from. It’s pretty nice.

[358] Happy as a Clam

358

I’m not exactly sure where that saying comes from, but I guess it’ll work in the situation that is today.

I started my morning like any normal, obsessed, Syracuse men’s basketball fan by watching the game at 9am. I wasn’t wearing any pants, but I did have one of my many Syracuse shirts on. We won, obviously. During the second half as we pulled further and further ahead, I started taking down my Christmas tree. That undoubtedly led me to rearrange my living room, clear out some stuff from my closets, start a couple loads of laundry, scrub my bathroom from top to bottom, wash all the dishes that have been sitting in my sink, and update this blog since I was a touch behind.

While updating the blog, I realized I will be done with this 365 project exactly one week from today. I’m still trying to decide what I want to do when it’s over…

[356] Sick Day

356

There are a shit-ton of people at work who have been sick, and passing their sickness around. Unfortunately, I caught some strain of that sickness and decided to stay home. There wasn’t anything pressing at work, so that made my decision a whole lot easier. I stayed in bed until almost noon, and then walked down the street to get some pho with the boy, who happened to have a meeting later not that far away from my place. I put enough sriracha in my pho to clear out the entire contents of my head, except my brain. When I got back to my apartment, I hopped back into bed and slept on and off until 5pm.

The only reason I got out of bed was to shower, go have dinner made for me, to watch A River Runs Through It, and to get some cuddling in. Nothing like some quality time with someone that make you happy to cure a head cold.

[355] A Tiny, Miniature Roadtrip

The boy took me to meet one of his friends who lives in Everett. Doug came along for the ride because there were some pitbull waiting to play with him. (I know that sounds dirty, but it’s exactly what they did…play.) We just chilled for awhile and then went and grabbed a couple of drinks! Not a terrible way to spend a Wednesday night.

[354] Date Night for Fatties

354

The Syracuse game was on tonight so I thought I’d invite the boy over for dinner during said Syracuse game. I went all out, and made Fat Girl Specials. For those of you who don’t know what a Fat Girl Special is, let me enlighten you: it’s alfredo sauce mixed with Spicy Hot Tomato Oil over fettuccini. Usually, I just use jarred alfredo, but lately, or at least the last time I made myself a Fat Girl, I’ve been making alfredo sauce from scratch.

Not only did Syracuse win over Virginia Tech handedly, my Fat Girl Special was a hit, I got a sweet piece of Giants art, I guess that’s what I’d call it, but I also got a full on back massage as a thank you.

Please sir, may I have another?

[353] Foodaholic

353

It was back to the grind today at the office…sort of. We’re still going through a massive reorganization, and orders haven’t quite trickled down into my level yet. I have stuff to work on so I’m not super duper bored but I wish I was busier.

In order to cure my sort of boredom, I went grocery shopping. I got the makings for coconut curry red lentil soup and chocolate chip walnut banana bread muffins. I baked and cooked into the wee hours of 9pm and then passed out before I could see who Juan Pablo, the new Bachelor, sent home. Thanks goodness for online episodes!
