[247] Balls.

247

I had planned on writing something that I thought was going to be pretty great, and now I can’t remember what it was. Shit.

Also, this picture is from yesterday. I’m failing at blogging right now.

UPDATE: I remembered what I wanted to say. Is it weird that I’m waiting to buy a massive amount of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter (in stick form) from Amazon until October 1 because I’ll get extra credit card points?

[246] Dead Brain

246

I have SO much respect for stay-at-home moms, nannies, and all other people who take care of other humans as their job. I’ve only been doing it for 24 hours, and although I’m sure I could do it if I had to, aka a surprise pregnancy, but in no way am I planning for a surprise pregnancy…I’m not even getting any right now, but it’s exhausting, and I have dead brain. Anyways, if today has taught me anything, it’s that I definitely want kids at some point, but taking care of Christian this weekend was a concentrated dose of birth control.

[244] Best Week Ever?

244

I’m still in a really good mood, and I hope it’s rubbing off on people, because otherwise it would just be annoying. So this guy I went on a date with yesterday, let’s call him…Guy, is kind of awesome, and is making it really hard for me to stop smiling. I’m trying not to get too far ahead of myself and just be in the moments, but he’s just so cute and sweet and overall very cool in all ways possible.

So between that huge nugget of happiness, my printmaking class earlier in the week, babysitting Christian (my 2-year-old cousin) all weekend, and the team art project we did this morning, it’s quite possible this is shaping up to be one of the best weeks ever. You go, September!

[084] Fully Recovered

084

After the gym locker episode yesterday I believe I have fully recovered. Because I worked late a few days this week I got to leave early today! 12:30 early. I made an impulsive decision on my way home to not only get my hair cut for the first time since moving to Seattle, but also to have the hair stylist give me bangs. I haven’t had bangs since 10th grade when I cut them myself (they actually turned out pretty well, just so you’re all aware.) The last time that someone besides Lauri, my go to person for almost 8 years, cut my hair I ended up with a bowl cut. I had to go to the mall the next day and have someone else fix it. That turned into a fauxhawk, and then I dyed it blonde. So I was a little nervous, but Valentine at Vain did an amazing job, and I will definitely be going back!

I’ll be staying in tonight and babysitting so my aunt and uncle can go out to dinner before she goes to Alaska for the week.

I’m awesome, I know.

[015] Lazy Day

015

This title is slightly deceiving, because although I didn’t leave the house, or run errands or anything like that, I wasn’t really very lazy. I babysat for most of the day while my aunt and uncle moved from one rental to another. I remember babysitting as playing with the kids for an hour or two, putting them to bed, and leaving when their parents got home. Today was not that, but a blur of children’s songs, light up toys, giant Legos, books, blocks, naps, pillows, and dirty diapers. It’s just a little after 9pm here, and I can barely keep my eyes open. I’m so not cut out for this type of work.

P.S. This picture is from yesterday when the sun came out, and I actually left the house.
