Since moving to Seattle, I’ve had access to DVR. I love it, but it’s made me exceptionally impatient when it comes to watching TV. Since all my shows have ended for the season, I’ve been watching a whole lot more commercials. I’m not used to this, and I don’t know how I handled all those commercials before DVR. During the week I don’t have a ton of time to watch my shows, so I purge until the weekend when I binge watch. The best part about the binge is that I can skip through all the commercials. But yesterday I didn’t have anything recorded, so I had to watch TV live, commercials and all. I did find a way to work around it by pausing live TV, and doing something else until enough time has elapsed where I can skip over all the stuff I don’t want to watch. It’s a little sad.
